We spent most of Thursday afternoon standing on the hiway. Most of it was standing around waiting for tow trucks. A couple resourceful FF's found some constructive work to keep them busy while waiting. The result is below. SRFD's finest.

Here is the revised badging for Strathmore. It was designated as Rural Rescue, but has been since redesignated to

The only modifications worth mentioning are the addition ok a 4KW Honda generator and LED side markers over the rear wheels.
Behind the Engine here is one of our 2003 E-one Superior Kodiak Tankers.

Here are photos of a 1990 Superior Pierce Lance. These pictures were taken at our inspection visit. It spent the first 15 years of its life as Engine 5 at the Richmond Fire Department.
Since 1995, It has been serving in Wheatland County for the Strathmore Rural Fire Department. 3 years in the Strathmore Hall, and the last year + in the Carseland hall.
Its ULC badge says that its Serial # SE-1197
300 Gallon tank, 1050 GPM Hale pump, and a killer Q2 on the front bumper.

Body found in Burned out car east of Calgary
Strathmore RCMP attended a call this morning where a body was found in a burned out car on Range Road 285 near Hiway #1.
The major crimes unit has been called to the scene.
No other information has been made available at this time.
